1)First remove though/although/even though.

2)Then use but between two clauses by removing the comma.

Eg. 1)Though John is right, he keeps quiet.

Answer- John is right but he keeps quiet.

2)Although you prepared in advance, you did not perform.

Answer- You prepared in advance but you did not perform.

3) Even though I told you to read it, you did not listen to me.

Answer- I told you to read it but you did not listen to me.

Transformation of Compound to the complex sentence of but using though although even though

Eg. 1)He informed me but I didn’t notice it.

Answer-Though he informed me, I didn’t notice it.

2)Rita ran fast but she could not catch the train.

Answer- Although Rita ran fast, she could not catch the train.

Examples of sentences with though, although, even though, and but

1)Though people took initiative, they did not persist in their mission.

2)Although people took initiative, they did not persist.

3) Even though people took initiative, they did not persist.

4)People took initiative but they did not persist.

Conclusion

From the above discussion, we can conclude that though, although, even though have the similar meaning which is in spite of something and they work as a conjunction in adverb clause of contrast. We can use but to remove though and then the sentence becomes compound from the complex.
